A comfortable cabin with a cozy living room and loft for hanging out. The cabin has two bedrooms, one full bath and an outhouse. The kitchen is modern with high-end appliances, great for cooking. When you rent the cabin you also get access to a pontoon boat for safe passage, one canoe, one kayak and a rowboat will be there for you to use. During the day you can lounge in a hammock or relax in an Adirondack chair on one of the decks. In the evening there is plenty of firewood to burn in our two outside fire pits or the inside fireplace.
Maximum of 6 guests, yes this includes children. In an effort to keep the island as clean and pristine as possible, no tents or camping is permitted. There are Two Bedrooms and One Loft
Dogs deserve vacations too! As luck would have it we do permit dogs to come to the island. We do have a strict 2 dog maximum policy.
Bass Lake is an all sports lake. It is great for paddle sports and fishing.
The entire cabin and all 7+ acres are yours to use and explore.
You will be met at the landing lot. After which, you will learn you how to operate the pontoon boat as a means of safe passage to the Island. You will be given a brief give tour of the Island & Bass Lake. During the tour we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
We really don’t know where to begin because this area offers so much. You can spend your days visiting the local wineries, exploring The Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, shopping and dining in downtown Traverse City, catch a concert in Interlochen or just relax and let the stress of the world melt away while spending time on the island.
Remember, you will be on an island. The only way to and from your vehicle is via a 5 minute boat ride.
Namaste Island is located on Bass Lake. Although it is a recreation lake, there is very little traffic to be found. A public boat launch is also available and can be seen from the island. The island is heavily wooded and provides wonderful paths for walking. The sunrises and sunsets are magnificent. The moonlight and stars reflecting on the lake, which can be seen from your bed, defy description. In July, there are wild blueberries for picking. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the bald eagles that make Bass Lake their home.
